Reservations
Gakona Lodge
7 days a week
From May through September
Gakona Lodge is one of the oldest lodges in Alaska! The lodge is very nice and we have attempted to keep it Historic.
The cabins are also historic and have been recently remodeled .
If you want to truly experience Alaska, this would be a great place for
you to stay.
If
you are expecting a fancy hotel then you should probably consider other
accommodations. The cabins all have private bathrooms, and most of
the rooms in the lodge have shared bathrooms as in the days of old. We do have wireless internet
and public access to internet. We're confident that you'll find
the lodge cozy and refreshing. In the winter, the Carriage House
Restaurant is closed but we do offer a continental breakfast for nightly
customers and home-style meals for those on extended stays. Our
cabins are available in the winter for extended stays. We are
adjacent world class salmon and trout fishing on the Gulkana, Delta and
Klutina Rivers and 2 hours away from awesome halibut fishing.
Trappers Den Tavern

7 days a week from May 20th to September
10th
During the winter we are open Friday and Saturday nights. During
the Summer Solstice (Mid to late June and August), we have our famous "Half-Way to
Christmas", "Half-Way to New Years" and "Half-Way to 40 Below" parties. This building originated as the "Shower House" for the Army Corp of
Engineers in 1942 when they were constructing the ALCAN Highway in
response to the Japanese Invasion of the Aleutian Islands.
Carriage
House Restaurant

7 days a week from mid-May to early September
In the
winter, we are open for banquets and as needed by the community only.
This is the most unique dining experience in the Copper River Valley. This building originated as the Orr Stage Coach Company in 1910.
We take great pride in our friendliness,
cleanliness and hospitality
